About us

In 2019, Woodvale Park Veterinary Hospital, which has been in Woodvale since 1996, was purchased by long time employee Dr Todd Dalton.  He is immensely excited about the prospect of providing excellent, compassionate care to all types of pets whether they be feathery, fluffy or scaley.

Meet the team

Dr Todd Dalton - Woodvale Park Veterinary Hospital

Dr Todd Dalton BSc BVSc MSc

Head veterinarian and practice owner

Dr Dalton grew up in the US where he shared his home with virtually every genus of animal on Earth (including 2 sulfur-crested cockatoos).  He dream since childhood was to become a veterinarian.  Dr Dalton purchased the practice in 2019.  He has set himself a single goal – provide the best care to his patients and clients in Perth.  He has a background in academic research prior to becoming a veterinarian in 2012.   Following graduation he was employed in specialist practice in Brisbane and Sydney.  As a result of this background, he is always striving to be up to date on the latest research based medicine and surgery practices.  Additionally, Dr Dalton worked for several years with Dr Tim Oldfield of Wattle Grove Veterinary Hospital where he honed his bird and exotics animal medicine.  Dr Dalton has a special interest in medicine and ultrasonography.

At home, as of the time of this writing, Dr Dalton has a menagerie – 2 cats (Mr Finny is pictured above), 1 silly galah, and a Stimson python named Charlie.  Though they are all now very much loved they all initially came as unwanted or lost pets.

Georgina O’Neil
Practice manager and head nurse (Cert IV)

Georgina has a wealth of experience – having worked initially in Broome she then moved south and joined the Woodvale veterinary team in 2009.  This year marks her 10th anniversary with Woodvale and we are proud to have her.

She has 2 giant dogs and a fun new kitten at home.

Melissa Martin

Mel decided on a career change in 2014 – she had always loved animals and so she decided to pursue a career in animal care.  She graduated with a diploma in veterinary nursing from Otago Polytechnic in New Zealand.

Mel and her family moved to Perth in 2015.  At home she has a rescue cat, Kitty.

Bryanna Martin

Bryanna graduated with her veterinary nursing qualification in 2016 and started at Woodvale in the beginning of 2018.  She has a special interest in surgical anesthesia though she is temporarily having a break from this as she is expecting a child in the near future!

At home she has a full house – 2 dogs and 2 cats.
